Dr. Bronwen Manby, OBE

Bronwen Manby is an independent consultant in the field of human rights, with a particular focus on sub-Saharan Africa, and a senior policy fellow and guest teacher on the MSc in human rights at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).  Previously, she worked for the Open Society Foundations and Human Rights Watch, as well as for Lawyers for Human Rights in South Africa. She has written on a wide range of human rights issues in Africa, including in relation to the human rights obligations of the oil industry, and on continental developments in human rights law. She has particular expertise in comparative nationality law, statelessness, and legal identity.
