RAID has been at the forefront of work over the past decade at domestic, regional and international levels to improve global standards for corporate accountability. These standards include for example the OECD's Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the UN's Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the International Code of Conduct for private military and security companies.

The organisation is regularly invited to be advisor, ‘critical friend’, independent expert, witness, or advocate in dozens of forums including the UK's National Contact Point for the OECD Guidelines, the US Securities and Exchange Commission, and UK Parliamentary Committees.

RAID also produces innovative and rigorous policy reports and recommendations based on meticulous research around specific themes such as stock market regulation and its human rights implications.
